Archaic Chinese Jades Collected in China By A. W. Bahr: Now in Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago

Abel William Bahr (1877-1959) was born in Shanghai to a German father and a Chinese mother. In 1898 he established the Central Trading Company and became one of the most important collectors of Chinese art, organizing exhibitions with items from his own collection.
