A 17th century Chinese scholars tray with finely woven basketry panels. This is a literati object once used to hold stationary items. Of a muted burgundy lacquer with finely woven panels inset into the sides and resting on an inbuilt base. Likely a product of craftsmen from the Fujian region.  Video description below.
