Repairing cracked or scratched Chinese lacquer can be challenging. This particular video will show you how to repair Chinese black lacquers, specifically scratches on the surface.
This technique will work for new “clean” lacquers only. In other words, don’t try this on Chinese antiques though nor is this for distressed or Chinese “aged” or “crackle” furniture finishes even if they are reproductions.
Also, note that it will work for other colors as well, not just black as long as they are clean flat finishes.
